An estimated 1,500 multi color balloons were dropped at the Happy Noon Year Party at the Park Center in Glenview on Saturday, Dec. 31. Between 500 and 650 people attended the 90 minute paid morning event where 150 children were registrants, said Kara Graber, cultural arts and recreation supervisor for the Glenview Park District. This year saw a return to an indoor party format for families from a modified road rally version (using park locations) over two COVID-19 pandemic years. 'We're really happy to have our actual Noon Year's event back,' Graber said.
