Carrying her designer business satchel and a chai tea latte, Katie Jones walked into the Burnham Board Room at Village Hall on May 2 as a future Glenview village trustee, flanked by proud family members and well-wishers. Jones, a Glenview resident since 2013, and former Glenbrook North High School personal finance and child development teacher, was elected village trustee on April 4, replacing outgoing trustee Chuck Gitles who served since 2019. Accompanied at the Glenview Municipal Center by her husband of almost 18 years Matt Jones, their children Savannah, 8, a second-grader, and Scarlett, 5, a preschooler, plus the siblings' grandparents Kathy and Chuck Chamberlain of McHenry, Jones was sworn in by Glenview Village President Michael Jenny as village trustee for a four-year term.
