Closing On Property Extended; Dates For Mandated Closing From End Of Litigation Disputed Glenview trustees approved the fifth amendment to a purchase and sale agreement for property at 1850 Glenview Rd. to extend the closing date again to Monday, July 31, after lawsuits by neighbors delayed the project. Trustees approved a purchase and sale agreement with The Drake Group to buy and develop the former Bess Hardware site at 1850 Glenview Rd. in June 2018. Since then, attorney Bill Seitz has filed and appealed lawsuits challenging the project up through Cook County Circuit Court and the Illinois Appellate Court, even attempting to take the appeal opposing the project to the Illinois Supreme Court.
